Meet Cozey
Founded in 2020, Montreal, Canada, by Frédéric Aubé. Known for: sofa-in-a-box, tool-free modular furniture.
Aubé started Cozey after running into the same problem again and again as a student who moved often: furniture that was bulky to transport, took weeks to arrive, and was a headache to assemble. Taking a cue from the mattress-in-a-box model, he set out to make furniture that ships quickly, assembles without tools, and still feels considered from a design perspective. The brand has since expanded well beyond sofas, but that founding instinct — good design made to be lived with — still runs through what they make.
